Anomaly is a new venture by jeweller and creative leader, Jo Garner. A jewellery and metalwork graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (2007). Jo has gained invaluable experience within Scotlands Creative and Cultural Sector and is passionate about promoting Scottish craft, particularly jewellery. Based in Edinburgh since 2009, Jo worked at the Edinburgh Assay Office where she gained valaubale insights into the commercial jewellery market and the hallmarking process. In 2010 she founded the Edinburgh branch of the Association for Contemporary Jewellery and has been Chairperson since 2011. Through ACJ, Jo has organised and taken part in several high profile exhibitions where the key aim has been to promote jewellery within a new context. Over the last few years she has taken a pro – active and innovative approach towards building her career and promoting the local jewellery talent within Edinburgh. With Anomaly she aims to both strengthen this and broaden it. International developments are a key area of interest for Jo and she hopes that this will feature greatly within the Anomaly platform.
